30 / 3 / 10 Clockwork Noise @ Semi-Final of the King Kong Club
Clockwork Noise play the Semi-Final of Dublin’s King Kong Club at The Village, Wexford Street this Thursday, 1 April.
We’ll be competing against five other bands for a festival slot and a place in the grand final. The overall prize is nine days of studio time with producer Boz Boorer, Morrisey’s former Musical Director, in Portugal.
The competition is won or lost by the clap-o-meter, which measures the noise of the crowd!
The King Kong Club is a truly excellent night of music with six bands each playing their best three songs!
So start off your Easter weekend this Thursday (1 April) at The Village. It’s free in and beer is only 3 Euro. Doors at 8.30pm!
Hope we’ll see you there!

17 / 3 / 10 King Kong Craziness
Monday night saw Clockwork Noise competing in Ireland’s favourite Musical Gameshow: The King Kong Club at The Village. Spurred on by the incredible atmosphere of the KKC, we had a great gig; and thanks to the amazing audience we were voted (well, screamed, chanted, clapped and stamped) the winners on the night.
This means we’ll be performing at the KKC semi-final on 1 April at the same venue, and we promise to do justice to all our supporters by playing the best three songs of our lives!
There’s lots at stake- the ultimate prize being the huge opportunity of recording with Morrissey’s musical director Boz Boorer in Portugal- so come on down on the 1 April if you can!
Entry is freeĀ and there’ll be cheap beer there, too.
This week’s KKC performance will be broadcast on RTE 2XM (Sunday at 10PM), so we’ll do our best to put our segment here. In the meantime, check out this video of one of the tracks we performed on the night, ‘Choose Your Words’:

03 / 12 / 09 Friday With Codes
Howdy all,
Please excuse the late notice, but tomorrow night (Friday December 4th) Clockwork Noise will be in Greystones Theatre opening for the awesomeness that is Codes. If anyone would care to join us it’s sure to be a great night. Greystones Theatre, as some of you might know, is Ireland’s first BYOB venue, so cheap booze aplenty is welcome. We’re due on stage around 9 O’Clock, with Codes set to be playing til the wee hours.
Hope to see you there!
Rob
28 / 11 / 09 Ballroom of Romance, and More.
We had a great time playing the Lower Deck for Ballroom of Romance last night- thanks again to Allen, and to all the other acts (who were fantastic!).
Things keep on moving in Clockworkland- this week sees us heading in to Phantom FM to record a session with Cathal Funge’s I-Con, something we’re really excited about. The session should be broadcast before Christmas, so we’ll keep everyone posted when we find out exactly when. In the meantime you can request tracks from ‘Yes and No and Everything In Between’ on Phantom by texting 51052.
We’re continuing the build-up to our Twisted Pepper Headliner on December 17th by playing a DLIADT fundraiser in Crawdaddy on December 10th with Little Xs for Eyes, Forward More and Neon Stars.
There’s also word on new recording coming down the pipeline, so more info on that should be coming very soon. The new writing is coming along very well, and there should be some new additions to the setlist for the Twisted Pepper show.
We can’t wait!
Rob
