07 / 1 / 11 This Year In Clockworkland
Greetings, internet. As you’ll see from the following post, we’re having a mad introduction to 2011. The first week of the new year coincided with our last week of pre-production, leading directly into several radio shows and our finally hitting the studio proper. With all of this happening I keep getting cut short of making this post, and hence having to completely update it with every new day of work. At this rate it’ll be a review of 2011 before it’s posted, so I’m just gonna plow through for now and try to get you vaguely up to speed…
13 / 12 / 10 The Clockwork Christmas Song 2010!
Well, it’s that time of year again, and following on from a tradition we began last year we’ve recorded a yuletide cover for you all.
This year we’ve decided to go a bit more up-tempo, and given the Clockwork treatment to Mud’s Christmas classic ‘Lonely This Christmas’.
We’ll be playing the song at our Christmas show on December 18th, where we’ll take to the stage to support the awesome El Hombre Jokes. The El Hombre guys have also recorded a festive tune, and we’ll be giving both away as a Christmas present to all attendees on the night. So be sure to come along for some Christmas merriment- it’s upstairs at Whelans, and tickets are €10 (present included!).

23 / 11 / 10 Mike Hits The Campaign Trail
This week Mike took to the streets to help promote the Concern Fastival. Always one to sacrifice his time for a good cause, Mike helped Orla Murphy & Judy Kelleher kick off their ‘Free Hugs’ campaign on Grafton Street.
The Fastival takes place this Thursday & Friday (November 25th & 26th) at venues all over the country, with the aim of raising one million euro to fight childhood malnuitrition. Clockwork Noise will be opening the show in Whelans on the Friday, with Nouveau Noise, Patrick Kelleher and The Jimmy Cake also performing on the night. Tickets are €12, but admission is FREE for faster, so sign up here!
